Spiritual Direction
Spiritual Retreats
Music

"All life is spiritual". It is with that belief that I engage in my ministry of Spiritual Direction, lead Spiritual Retreats and compose and share Music. My work and calling is to assist individuals on their spiritual journey. The relationship affirms that each person has a calling for their life. It opens individuals to the possibilities for their lives.

From my early upbringing in Kansas and Montana to my retirement from ministry after 36 years, I have sensed a deep yearning within my spirit and life to connect with the Spirit of Life, to connect with God. You are invited through this website to explore the sense of commitment and passion that I bring to life.

Mission Statement

I share my ministry under the name "CompanionSpirit". This metaphor came to me after a considerable time of discernment, conversation and prayer. It carries the energy of the Spirit. In the discernment process I also discovered the Mission Statement for my life and work:

As CompanionSpirit with creation I am called to nurture peace and justice by offering gifts of support, counsel and insight to individuals who are open to their spiritual journey so that in experiencing connection to God and life, they will affirm their calling in life, they will experience oneness in community and they will be filled with joy and celebrate life.

Mission Actions

As I live my Mission Statement I am directed to work that is described by the following actions:

  • To mentor (walk with) individuals as they grow in their spiritual journey.
  • To support others as they identify and express their spiritual gifts and feel God's spirit in their lives.
  • To explore and share new understandings of spirituality so that people will have permission to name and claim their spiritual journey.
  • To communicate the spiritual nature of life with leaders so that they become spiritual leaders.
  • To write and share (perform) music so that persons will act from their spiritual center to create a peaceful world.
  • To design and share worship which reflects and nurtures spiritual awareness and peaceful presence.
  • To be a steady spiritual voice for peace and justice among my family and friends and within the church, the community and the world.
