"Sharing the Spirit's Song"
I am a singer, guitarist, and native flutist. I share my music in a variety of settings: Concerts, Spiritual Gatherings (informal sharing of stories and songs about life and the spiritual journey), Worship (including Taize Worship), Music for conferences, Music in workshops and retreats. A number of songs have come to me that speak of the dynamics of our lives. CDs for a Spiritual Journey
I have produced 3 CDs that assist people on their spiritual journey. The CDs include original songs that I have written.
“Following the Mystery” is a CD released in 2005. This meditative CD is instrumental with native flute, flute, violin, guitar, keyboard and percussion. Performers included on this CD are Judy Hagerman, Violin; Nita Hatcher, Flute; Johnny Watson, Percussion and John Blinn, Native Flute and Guitar. Seven of the songs on this CD are played on the Native Flute and provide music for spiritual centering and connection. All the songs are a celebration of life.
“Healing the Soul: Stories and Songs for the Journey”, released in 2004, features 9 stories and 13 songs. The stories, told by Elaine Blinn and John Blinn, describe the life of the spirit. Each story is accompanied by at least one song. The stories are titled: “A Child of God – Claire’s Story”, “Discovering the Spirit in Costa Rica”, “Learning to Fly”, “The Gift of Pain”, “Whistling in the Dark”, “The Red-Tailed Hawk”, “Walking the Street”, “Manny” and “Columbine”.
“Walking Toward the Light”, released in 2003, is a CD of songs that share the depth of the spiritual journey. Some of the song titles are: “Walking Toward the Light”; “Memories”; “God Sees the World”; “Flow On, O River”; “You are the Melody”; “Whistling in the Dark” and “My Voice Sings”. This first CD has sold nearly 1,000 copies and has provided a reflective look at our spiritual journey.
Songbooks and Prints
2 Songbooks ($12 ea) are available. The songbooks have the stories and songs that are on the CDs. The music in transcribed as single line melodies with guitar chords and words.
Prints of two CD covers are also available. The cover for Walking Toward the Light was an original watercolor painted especially by Mary Blain, an artist living in Billings, Montana for the CD cover. Giclée prints of “Walking Toward the Light” are available in two sizes; 10” X 13.5” ($65) and 7.5” x 10” ($45). Prices include shipping.
The cover for “Healing the Soul” is an original painting by Claire Munoz. Claire’s story, and songs inspired by her life journey, are on the CD and included in one of the songbooks. The picture entitled “Pot of Gold” is available as a 9” X 9” giclée print for $35 including shipping.

Concerts and Spiritual Gatherings
My wife, Elaine, and I have shared a number of Spiritual Gatherings and Concerts. The experience is relaxed and informative. We share songs and stories that provide a glimpse of the Spirit's energy on our life journey. We have participated in benefit concerts for Operation Classroom and the African Partnership.
Taize Worship
I work with Gary Weaver and Jane Proffitt in sharing a monthly Taize Worship experience in Pueblo, CO. I use my guitar and native flute to share this meditative style of worship. Jane joins me on flute to provide a beautiful accompaniment to the Taize Chants and Songs.
